June 2025 Updates
June has been a massive month for new features and infrastructure improvements! We've shipped some highly requested features while also making significant behind-the-scenes improvements to keep everything running smoothly.
Here's what we shipped:
- Region data is here: You can now see states, provinces, and other regions where your visitors are located, in it's own dedicated 'Region' tab. Read more about that release here
- Operating System data is also here: We've added OS data to the Device Types box, so you can now see whether your visitors are using Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and more. You can also read more about that release here
- Enhanced security: More super secret security stuff that keeps Fathom extra safe from attackers
- Google Analytics import fix: Fixed an issue that was causing GA imports to fail for some customers
- Shared dashboard options fix: Fixed the missing Show/Hide GA data option on shared dashboards
- Infrastructure improvements: We made some database optimisations to improve performance and migration handling
- Cleaner codebase: Moved all admin code into its own directory for better organization and maintainability
- Updated bot detection: Upgraded our crawler detection library to catch more bots and keep your data clean
- Enhanced IP blocking: Backend change that improves IP blocking management across our infrastructure
- Database optimizations: Added better tracking of when data was inserted to improve migration and data handling
The engineering team have been on fire with new feature development and we continue to make progress on our infrastructure upgrades, setting us up for some exciting announcements in the coming months. Keep an eye out!
