Introducing: Operating System data

Introducing: Operating System data

Operating System data (found in the Device Types box) shows you which operating systems your visitors are using to access your website. We've had many customers requesting this data to better understand their audience and optimise their websites accordingly.

By showing you operating system data, you can combine it with other metrics to better understand your audience and make informed decisions about browser compatibility, feature support, and user experience optimisation. Which is particularly useful for developers and businesses who need to prioritise which platforms to focus their development efforts on.

You can filter by operating system just like any other metric in Fathom, allowing you to see how different OS users interact with your site and convert on your events.

Please note: We started collecting this data on June 17th, 2025, so you won't see any historical data before this date. All new visits from June 17th onwards will include operating system data.
