How do free trials work?

When you sign up for an account with Fathom Analytics, you get a 30-day free trial. It only takes a few minutes to sign up for an account, and the trial starts immediately at signup.

We ask for a credit card at sign-up to help prevent fraud or misuse of our services, as every free trial has zero restrictions on use or pageviews. We understand that this may not work for every potential customer. Still, we ask for a credit card authorization as the first step to maintain good hygiene for our infrastructure resources and keep us sustainable (we’re bootstrapped, so we don’t have outside investment).

We also send you an email before charging you on the 29th day, just so you have a reminder if you choose to cancel your account before the trial ends (and thus, not have to pay anything).

Once you’ve finished creating your account, you can immediately start adding your website(s) and start collecting data. During your trial, there are no limits on pageviews, email reports, or any other feature.

Converting from a trial account to a paid account

If you don’t cancel during your trial, you’ll be automatically billed for your first invoice on the 31st day. So if you want to keep using Fathom (we hope you do), there’s nothing to do on your end except keep using Fathom.
