EU DPA declares Google Analytics illegal because it runs on US cloud providers. Fathom is a Canadian company, and all of your EU traffic never leaves German-owned servers.

Paul Jarvis, official website/bio

You’re probably wondering why you’re here. Not, like, existentially (but maybe that?), but rather, how you ended up on this website when you were trying to find or read something from Paul Jarvis.

I’m Paul Jarvis. Hi again. I used to have a personal brand and lots of writing online, and now I don’t. So instead, my sole focus is this company, Fathom—a privacy-focused website analytics company.

Fathom started because I wasn’t happy with Google Analytics. Yes, it’s free, but it’s also ugly, annoying to use, and doesn’t offer much in the way of protecting the privacy of your own website visitors. If you aren't paying for the product, you are the product (and I no longer wanted that to happen with my website analytics). And so, years ago, Fathom was born! I hope you’ll check it out and give it a try.

I've added a few pieces of my previous writing to this site.

PS: If you’re looking to get in touch or have me on your podcast, speak at your event, or teach at your online summit, I’m no longer doing that (so please do not contact tech support here to get in touch with me).

Your internet friend,
Paul Jarvis
